Every successful startup has a good elevator pitch that can be used in any market, and for any industry. In fact, having a great elevator pitch is more important than having an amazing idea. We help startups to go to the next level with Hyper Accelerator & Startup Course.
Professor Hans - "Elevator Pitching"
Get a strong one-line pitch.
If you entered an elevator with someone who could make a difference in your life and startup, what would you say to them before they could get out of the elevator on the third floor?
You got approximately two minutes, what do you say about your company to pique their interest?
Firstly don't apologize, cut to the chase.
Don't save the really exciting details for later conversations, because there may not be any later conversations.
You gotta say something that creates excitement for the listener, a kind of a “wow you could do that, how do I find out more?”
So what would you say? The clock is ticking.
Firstly, think about this, there's a problem I'm solving it, and I'd love to have you involved.
Now remember convincing an investor requires you understand their mindset when they are listening to you.
This is their thought process. Firstly, do I understand it? Often entrepreneurs spend their entire time trying to explain the process.
Get a strong one-line pitch. Here is an example, this is how it's done.
My company (insert name of company) is developing a (defined offering) to help (a defined audience) to (solve a problem) with (this is my secret sauce).
You can fill in those blanks like the mad lips.
The next question they will ask themselves is, if you are likeable.
Remember investors need to like you before they give you their money.
How are you pitching and presenting yourself so that you are liked?
Lastly, are they fundable? Once they understand the business and like you, they will start to think about if you are fundable or not.
What is your sales pitch?
