Children are better at knowing the difference between what they need and what they want than teens and adults.
As we get older we start to bias our time and resources to what we want, at the expense of what we need.
Especially when it comes to addictions. Addictions are wants that we have nurtured and elevated to become needs, the better you are at understanding needs versus wants the, better you will be at prioritizing what you should be doing.
